Lockside is a waterfront cafe in Bristol offering casual dining on the edge of the Avon Gorge, with great views of the Clifton Suspension Bridge, an ideal meeting place providing relaxed waterfront eating for customers in the Bristol area.
The site has been an institution in Bristol since 1963 previously known as The Venturers Rest and latterly Popeyes Diner. Also famous for being Sid's Cafe in 'Only Fools & Horses' - although these days we like to think we are more of a pollished spoon than a greasy spoon!
The menu is simple but up-to-the-minute, with lots of comfort appeal. Quality is of paramount importance to us at Lockside, we aim to cook the best fresh quality produce to exacting standards. Our menus are diverse, offering a range of hearty breakfasts and contemporary lunch dishes at very competitive prices.
We have an extensive seating area outside with views over the river. During the summer months you can meander the day away enjoying fine food and chilled wines and beers, forgetting about the worries of work!
The atmosphere at Lockside is relaxed, friendly and informal, whilst the overall impression is comfortable, light and airy. It is our attention to detail and high level of service that we hope ensures your whole dining experience is truly memorable. We are fully licensed from 9am with a friendly team.
Gary and the team look forward to welcoming you.
